ive heard that dropping 2 teeth makes a huge diff on older summits does anyone have some insight on this? 18 19 tooth

I have an '03 Summit 700 and stock gearing is 21/43 w/ 9 tooth drivers and 74 link chain. All it needs is a 45 tooth lower gear (equivalent to dropping one tooth on top) and a stiffer secondary spring. BJ can help you with both and a few other tricks I'm sure. And as BJ said - very solid sleds and the motors are bulletproof. I'm selling mine (144" X pckg., low miles) if anyone is interested tho I'm probably foolish for not keeping it as a backup sled but no more room in the garage!
