Gearing swap 10' rmk 600

I am wanting to gear my sled down, stock is 20T top and 41T bottom. Its got a 144" track.

Thinking of putting in 19T top and 42T bottom.

Would this make a big difference?

My reasoning for doing this is that I occasionally want to tow with it. Gettin around in hunting and things of that sort.

Yes, that gearing would be a big help. When you gear lower, the clutches don't have to work as hard to handle the type of riding you mentioned. It will help the clutches and belt run cooler.

That's awesome. how about the stock 76 chain would this still fit?

I would imagine this will also affect clutching?. stock weights are 10-58 would i have to go up or down to equal out?

Yes, the stock chain should still work. You won't have to change your clutch weights, after installing the lower gears. Your top speed will be less, but I don't think speed is what you want anyway. It will still top out around 80 mph. I don't know your altitude, but if 10-58s are working good now, they still will after gear change.
