I currently have a 19T / 43T w/ 74P Chain.......can I switch the 19T for a
20T. I know a 21 does not fit with the 43T.

Thanks

19/43-74 doesn't show up in the chart. Are you sure the bottom is a 43 and not a 41? If it is actually a 41 then yes a 20 will work with the 74 chain.

That combo goes from 2.16 to 2.05

All you do is open up the chaincase, and see how much extra slack you have when you back out your chain tightener. Adding 1 tooth to the top sprocket is roughly equivalent to using a 2 fewer teeth on the bottom sprocket.

I would guess that it wouldn't, I would have to check for sure but I think I am running 19/43 with a 74p chain and there is just a tiny bit of slack in it I don't think i am even running the tensioner

I for sure have the 19t / 43t and I am using the tensioner...a 21T will not go with the bottom 43t...but I thought a 20t might...but not sure...wanted to gear up alittle from the 2.26. I assumed I had a 74P chain.....

Are there any markings on the chain itself???

If the chain pitch calculator I have is correct it will fit

Edge

Center Distance 7.92
Top Gear 20
Bottom Gear 43

Ratio 2.15
Chain Pitch 73.74
Round to next round number - do not round up over 1.2

((CD x2) /0.375)+((TS+BS) / 2)

Edge Chassis 7.92
