Has anyone geared down after going to a 2.5" camo extreme? It tractors along but I would really like to get back some track speed. No, I don't want a turbo!

you dont have a choice your going to have the turbo possey saying get boost.... haha

I dont think you will get back the track speed. the 2.5 doesnt leave a lot of room in the tunnel and it is a lot beefier than the mav. that said if you dont have reverse I know several people with stock apexs that have geared them down, non reverse comes with a 20 on top you could drop one or two teeth. if you have reverse it is already an 18 tooth top. hope that helps later

Thanks for the replies. Handsome, geez I'm calling some dude handsome, how long have you run that gearing and what were the results. Before my track change, I could easily hit 94-96 mph on a long straight-a-way, now she tops out 80-85 mph. I wouldn't go back to the Maverick, but it would be nice to get some back some track speed. The sled doesn't struggle with the 2.5 but it is noticeable that it robs more power.
