Gearing Advice

Need help what is the advantage of going to a 20 or 19 gear. Im running 21 on top and 45 on bottom. By the way its a 2007 rev 800r (151 track) need some incite.

You can go 19/45 with the stock chain you have in it. It makes a pretty big dog leg around the adjuster but I have not had any problems with it.
Some of the guys are putting in a 47 bottom to take care of the dog leg. I bought the 19 top just to try it and was going to buy a 47 bottom later on if it worked good.
It all worked so good with the 19/45 that I never got around to changing the bottom gear.

After three years on the same chain and sprockets, I think I am going to change them all out this year. Gonna go with 19/47 Team HYVO gears and chain.

Tried 19 and 20. Like the 20 bettter, seems to have more track speed.

I run a 19/47 on mine, 07 151 Adrenaline. For the money, I would just do the 19 tooth. The 2 teeth on the bottom don't do that much for you ratio. I have a dj clutch kit in mine- got 1000+ miles on the belt last season. Had to adjust the height a couple times, but didn't shred any belts. Sled pulls like crazy out of the hole and still tops out about 85. I like it much better as the power is much more controlable in tight spots.

I was running 20/45. i changed my spring and put bigger rollers in it and dropped to 19/47 se how it works in a couple days.
