Looking to make my 2005 Summit 600 144 pull a little harder, want something to pull the skis up. What gearing should i change to? What about clutching? Looking for any thoughts, ideas, or opinions! Thanks

I helped a guy with his 04 we went 19/47 it helped a lot when climbing should
help down low to. any larger low and you need a loner chain. If you climb make sure your clickers are set so your rpms go to 8100 then comes back to 7900 or so, better to over rev the 600 then under rev.

I have the same sled as my backup and was looking for the same thing.
Stock gearing is 21/45. Changing it to 19/45 is easy and very inexpensive. I agree that 19/47 is a better gear ratio but now you are buying two gears. You can easily find used 19 tooth gears for $25 or so.
The stock primary spring is a 160/350- I left this alone.
I don't remember for sure but I think the stock helix is 47/44- I also left this alone.
I think stock ramps are 415- I left this alone.
Secondary spring really lacks back shifting ability- I Put in a purple/purple secondary spring from Doo. I think it's a 180/303 or something like that. New spring from Doo is $25.
Change out that top gear to a 19 and change out the secondary spring and for $50 or so you will have a significantly better performing sled.

With this setup my 600 will hold 8100 rpm all day long.
