Gear Heads wanna share some info!!

I'm looking at doing some shopping for the full meal deal. I have nothing but my snowboarding gear so i'll need to get some essentials. So if all you gear heads out there wouldn't mind sharing some things i shoud consider when i'm shopping please feel free to pipe up. All opinions and advice is appreciated and will be taken into consideration. Thanks in advance. The best advice is always from those with the experience.

For riding the steep and deep your gonna need a good avy beacon, I'd reccomend the DTS Tracker. They are very easy to use wich makes a huge differance when your in a panic situation.

A back pack with a shovel and avy probe. True adventure gear, and survival on snow both make nice packs and have shovels and probes.

Helmet with double lense goggles.

Warm and waterproof pants, jacket and boots.

Then there is the survival/repair/extraction gear that can just be endless. But you should carry spare plugs, tow rope, basic tools, knife, compass.......

That should get you started then you will find out quickly what your missing.

I will second the DTS tracker, extremly easy to use. Remember for shovels probe etc they HAVE to be in your backpack, they are useless if only on your sled.

I've heard and read good things about that beacon.... thats been added to the list..

snowboard gear works great for snowmobiling, only problem, was pants didnt hold up, but just ride em till they rip.

get yourself a moto-x helmet and some good goggles, good avy setup, a foldup saw is really helpful if you ride trees a lot, those buggers always jump out in front of you, some extra plugs, belts, some random tools, ZIP TIES and DUCK TAPE! you can fix anything with the last two, and a tow rope never hurts

snow bunjees are also pretty darn sweet, the sled to sled one makes days way better, less shoveling.
