Since this season is going to crap. And im deploying in about a month. Im planning my deployment money mods. I was thinking about going to a tki with a numerically higher ratio. Anyone have any experience on the axys? Looking to see if its worth it. I have never had a problem with a quickdrive so durability isnt the issue. Looking at performance

I am running a stock belt drive with a Polaris 3 inch and 7 tooth extroverts on mine. I planned on gearing it down this summer, but I rode in the snowys a couple of weeks ago with a friend with a stock 3 inch and a tki belt drive conversion. Snow was deep and soft. The tki belt drive is a great setup, but I couldn't see any performance differences in the 2 sleds. I am thinking about a 174, if I go that way I will great down.

The axys to me is geared to low I don't ride much above 5000 ft so I'm wanting to try a pro rmk 8 tooth setup.

Bought an Axys a month ago. 2.6 track and belt drive. The effective gear ratio with the 7 tooth drivers is 2.23. Going to us my TKI belt drive from my Pro. Bought a new mount from TKI for the Axys and top gear, 30 tooth(2.10 ratio) With the 7 tooth drivers this gives an effective ratio of 2.39. This should be a very good all around ratio. Ride from 3000-5000'. Will work on the clutching after the gear down.

Let me know how it works

I forgot one thing. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! You and all this nations finest will be in our prayers.
Thanks man, but im just doing my thing, its a good solid job, im not on the front lines, im safe on base enabling pilots to put warheads on foreheads. The infantry, special forces, general people that go outside the wire, those are the people that should be thanked.

Started this in October as in previous post-
I am dealer for TKI- and have tried several gearing changes and also tried 8 tooth drivers to mix it up to improve on the shallow approach angle that the 7's give you in stock form.
The 2.39 you are leaning to go to works excellant- on/off the throttle for tree pickin- (and we are talking 2.6 X 163) but you are still faced with the 7's- which IMHO not acceptable in flatter approach angle.
Depending how/ where your ride- and consider the spring snow that is in front of us- I swap top gearing changes in the field regularly -depending on snow conditions..and how you like to ride
My overall is 2.26& 2.33 and the spot on clutching I have shared in others postings the combo get's me higher on the hill and excellent response in the pickin' times.....

You and I discussed this very topic- when I switched my Axys Drive for your 14 Pro Drive-

Then you went and bought the Axys....
The biggest improvement is getting rid of the 7's IMHO.. and get the rolling less Resistance back, and flatter approach angle.. Gearing is easy from there- and no worries about snow evacuation-- plenty of room ..:spider:

8 Tooth PRO QD Drivers (Drive shaft not included)

For those considering PRO 8 Tooth (Large Hex / aluminum shaft) drivers; I have a box full of them. PM me if interested in a set. I'm sure we can come to terms, I want them gone.

I want a few with a tight spline- the ones I have been getting lately are like a saddle on a sow
( Someone said that) LOL !!!

PM Me...

I updated my post to clarify that all I have available are the stock 8 Tooth drivers, the drive shaft is not included. I remove the 8 Tooth drivers because they are too small a diameter for my liking. I have at least 6 sets of 8 Tooth drivers available.

FYI, for those wishing to gear down even more, the QD pulleys from a 14 or 15 will work using the Axys QD belt. You can probably find take offs pretty cheap campared to buying a whole belt drive kit.

I have a box full of the PRO Ride QD sprockets as well for anyone wishing to try what RichRacer1 mentioned (quoted).

So far I have not had any problems with this set up. I keep a close eye on my belt and it isn't showing any weird signs or wear.

I want to try the taller quick drive axys sprockets on my turbo pro. If anyone has done gear down kit in an axys and wants to sell stock quick drive sprockets and/or quickdrive belt please pm me. I have a tensioner to take out the slack

With a tensioner? Or what?

Don't need any kind of tensioner on the QD. The 14/15 QD pulleys are a one for one swap (14 pulleys are -1 on the top and +1 on the bottom in regards to the '16 pulleys). I do have a Fire n Ice belt deflection kit, but in no way puts any tension on the belt.

You shouldn't need a tensioner if you're replace both pulleys. The Axys pulley are a one for one on size (Axys top is +1 and the bottom is -1 compared to the '14/'15 pulleys).
