gauges

I'm just curious on what other people have used for a boost gauge. I am planning on needing one for water temp, a/f ratio, and maybe egt. Some may say I will not need water temp but its a personal preference.

Cutler has a gauge out this year that combines everything you are looking for and then some more functions.

Air/fuel, boost, that`s it. Less gauges, more time to look where you going :face-icon-small-hap. if I should be serious, I do not think EGT meters is accurate on boost applications.. There is too much fresh air going into the exhaust..

That doesnt make sense? because there is too much fresh air it through's off egt's, the air would through of afr as well. I have yet to try but I am planning on running both we will see how they compare, the only reason I am running both is because I have an extra spot for a gauge and may as well run it.

I like having egts for the trail. I also check them while climbing, but not before I look at my af gauge. I wouldn't recommend the AEM af gauge. We have 3 broken ones in our group. The plastic housing is very weak. If you get one don't use the clamp that holds the gauge in place.

Good to know! I will try and rig something up to keep it in place, maybe a bead of silicone or something.

You could probably use the clamp if you get some lock nuts. I tightened the nuts just enough to flatten the lock washers a little so it wouldn't come loose and that was still to much. With lock nuts you wouldn't have to put any tension on it.

Thanks for the advise. Kinda thinking I will use three seperate gauges. Seems like I cannot find what i'm looking for with all in one gauge clusters. I know fro sure I do want a water tem gauge i can read. After having one on a Skidoo years ago I learned alot about snow and temp. I will always have a temp gauge on a sled. How long you can idle, poor snow, and i need to get off the trail for better cooling.

Id recomend the cutler setup has water ar and a bunch of other things.I would worry about straining the stator depending on the fuel pump just my opinion
