How are you guys mounting the gauge on your mesh hoods. I have an 08 dragon im installing a mesh hood on, ive called Diamond Mesh twice in the past two weeks but apparently hes too busy to send out a pod to me. I dont meen to bad mouth Diamond Mesh but at this point im looking for other ideas. I want a clean look, pics would be great. Thanks

Mount them on your bars

I mounted my Apex Gauges (mesh hood) on my bars with a bracket I bought from Mtn Performance. It worked really well. I'm sure you can find one online for your sled or just make your own. The one from Mtn Performance was just a solid piece of alluminum with a hole for the wire/plug and holes for mounting to the bars. :face-icon-small-hap

Also, I think I have a Diamond Mesh Pod I didn't use on my sled. it's brand new, never mounted. Let me know if you're interested and I'll see if I can track it down for you.

on my apex i made my own gauge holder mounted on my bars..just buy some 1/8" flat aluminum sheet.trace your gauge out so it will sit in it nicely..cut out..i used a plasma.but a rotozip or skill saw should work fine..i then attached it by using black silicone sealer on both sides..and walla..looks great and only took about 1 hour..

Skinz hood has a flat bracket between the two top bars of the frame that the gauge mounts on with the stock screw holes. There are also two small aluminum spacers on the back mounts for better viewing, no complaints so far and should be pretty easy to duplicate onto a different hood.

This is what I did on my 900 RMK with a Diamond S hood. Made it myself from 3/16" aluminum plate.
