I pulled off the hood and decided to paint it. While I have it disassembled I realized that I'd really like to get the gauge cluster/console off. I'd like to keep the tach, don't really care about speedometer. I was thinking of cutting a hole in hood basically above oil pump and dropping tach in there. Just need to think of something to cover the wires/space directly behind lights. Any ideas or thoughts on this? Thanks.
