Gauge question on 05 Rev

Hey just had a question about the engine warning light on my rev. Its the light that looks like this ((!)) in the bottom right part of my Tach. It usually flashes when I start it and then it turns off but I figured this was because my brake light is disconnected. However on my last ride the light remained on for the duration of the ride and it felt like my sled was in limp mode. I messed with a few things and checked stuff but to no avail. I ended up only riding about 20 minutes because my buddy burned his sled down. Any idea what could be causing this??

how were the snow conditions. ive heard they go into limp mode when they start to get hot.

The conditions were pretty good, kings hill got about 10 inches which settled to about 4 inches after 3 hours of being in the sun. But the previous days were just hardpack/spring riding and it was definatly hot out. Just doesn't make sense that it would take a dump on me after 3 days of crappy warm conditions then on the one good day out of the trip it gives me problems.

That light is only connected to 2 things on the sled.

BRAKE and OIL. It comes on if the brake is on and if the oil is low. It will not affect performance in anyway. So if your sled was running poorly it is just coincidence. If you have removed your tail light, this is likely the culprit. Any moisture gets in that connection under the seat and it will come on. Let it dry out in the garage overnight and it goes off.

Other thing can be if the plunger on your brake goes bad.........

If the oil gets below the sensor it will come on also.
