I have also heard that the Yakama Nation will be making their own license plates and collecting their own fees with no monies going to the state. Not sure how true this is, but it wouldn't surprise me. Dang Liberals, don't want to hurt anyones feelings, now!!!

It isn't guilt, it is that the US signed a treaty or some such document of importance. Though, we could do like the rest of them so-called treaties and just ignore them...

I don't have an issue with anyone finding a way to make money. But when our government climbs in bed with any group (Russian, Indian, Black, Martian....etc), picks winners and losers, I get irritated. The final blow is the fact that the money collected is not being used for what it was meant for. Those are two issues that would make anyone mad.

It is going from the politics and the issues into a ethnic bashing thread.

I strongly disagree with whats happening with the accountability of our tax dollars.
Lets focus on what is happening and why, not the bashing and slander of entire ethnic groups for the actions of the few who are mismanaging the funds they are given.

There was an article recently in the Ellensburg paper about the Yakima Nation starting to issue their own plates. Yes it is happening and it read that they would not pay any state or fed taxes if i am not mistaken. Seems like they shoudn't be allowed to drive on the highways then.

And when they cant figure out there own tribal disputes they take it to federal court and waste Tax payers money! It needs to stop! Or put up a toll booth at the exit of every reservation and toll them to use our Hiway system that they contribute nothing too! Again Take Take Take!
