Has any one seen any gas racks other than the norm want to do something different thanks:eek:

That's exactly why you buy the PLASTIC gas can rails. They are made of the same stuff as plastic skis and hold up very well with no snow sticking.

The metal rails................ do exactly as you say.

I think they still have their 10% off sale going.

If not, PM freeagent and she will save you at least that much off of the retail price.

On my 09 M I just got 4 1" stainless steel U-bolts and mounted them to the tunnel spaced appropriatly to accept the 10L fuel can. I got a stylish rubber mat to glue to the tunnel so it doesn't get all marked up. This system is lighter than everything else out there, easy to install (just don't drill through the coolers) is very low profile and doesn't look bad at all.
I will do the same thing with my 2010 as well.

i hate to say it but i wish cat would do something like the xps have stock so u just buy a cat tank thats made for it cause ski doo has a pretty bad a$$ setup maybe ski doo should have put more engineering in the sled cause they suck ba!!$

Craiggerbuilts system is very simple. I never had any trouble with the release or ice build up, removed it often and could grab and snap it back on with ease from hill to hill.

Last winter I saw a rack system where the gas tank had a loop in the bottom and the rack had a rod that secured the tank to the sled. If you pulled the rod out it released the tank. Does anyone know who makes this system???

Here are a couple of pictures of my Mountain Addiction gas rack on my 09 M8 SP. The sled is still in storage and dirty but, you'll get the picture. :beer;

They offer about a dozen different color gas cans with the rail molded into the base so you can color match your sled if you like.

With that thin metal on the tunnel of the '10 M8 I think the mountain addiction would add a little support. With the others I think a person would need to add a little support under the gas can.
