Gas in the South Bighorns

I heard the new owners of Meadowlark and Deerhaven have not completed paperwork for the Forest Service - so that probably means no gas - no food

How did you hear that? I have heard that deer haven will be open this winter. Ahh this is how rumors get going. It would be nice if the new owners would get on here and update us all.

My friend spoke with a Forest Service employee- they may get the paperwork in -but I'm certain it will be a lengthy process to get it approved- Like they say the job isn't complete until the paperwork is done I wish them luck

The new owners are working 7 days a week getting the lodge updated.
And waiting on the Forest Service to review the paperwork, and issue the needed permits.

If all goes right Deer Haven will be up and running Mid December, with new gas pumps/lodging/food. After Deer Haven is up and running, they will have Meadow Lark Lodge will be open at a later date, after they get it fixed back up.

The new owners are very nice people, and a needed change to the Southern Big Horns.

Hot food would be nice. Not that a hotdogger wont keep it warm. Well hopfully the new owners bring it back to were that place should be. Good luck to them and hope they get it open soon.
