Gas Fireplace Info Needed

So, at my new house I have a beautiful gas fireplace in my bedroom. It operates off a light switch type deal. I want a remote, and with any luck a timer.

Is that doable and how difficult?

it's doable, i just googled "gas fireplace remote control and timer and quite a listing came up,give it a look see. I didn't look long enough to determine degree of difficulty,may require a service callout for an install.

Sounds like you need a guy to flip your switch.

very easy to do, just have to purchase and change the regulator to a 9 volt with remote. It's in an easily accessable compartment under the fire box most of the time. disconnect a 3/8 flex or union and replace.
