Gas cap options

Anyone know of any reason I can't swap my Axys gas cap out for one that will not crack and leak?

Not all that concerned with the gauge just a simple cap that seals well.

An airlock would be my concern.

Thanks

me neither....but the guy i brought my axys had switched the stock gas cap for a normal one so idk what he did, i took the one from my pro-ride before selling it :P

btw the gas tank is not vented by the cap there's a tubing acting as a vent.

I replaced the flat O-ring in my gas gauge and it helped alot-
It would fill up my gauge and then start really running out. It did leak a lot when the sled was on it's side- but now its a small drip--so it helped...

Help more if I kept the kept the sled up right...LOL

The fuel cap from my RZR, wheeler, and BRP fit. With that said you have many options that are “minus the gauge”.

some permatex rtv

mine was the black stuff that says sensor safe.. mine always leak around the clear plastic.. a little bead around the outside of the gauge, smooth it out with a wet finger and thats it.. i have seen them leak at the threaded part also, that is usually due to overtightening..
