Gas can/racks

I put fabcraft's gas rack on mine because on the days that i don't want to pack an extra gas can, there is almost no weight left on the sled. Also, it can be put on the tunnel to fit whatever gas can you already have.

Morning.....

If you are using the cat rack I am using a Blitz 5gallon that fits perfect in it!It has never leaked! It is quite a bit of fuel but my 1200 goes through it. Here is a link to it:

here it is on the sled:

Nice looking sled!! :beer;

Ok, so my question is:

Who makes a rack for an M sled (2009 to be specific) that isn't a completley braindead design like the Arctic Cat rack is?

I'm sorry folks, but I've had a belly full of horse **** like this. I spend $100 on $5 worth of aluminum, and it is completley bogus the way that they expect you to mount it up...

EG, Cat rack.

They want you to punch out two offset rivets because they can't figure out how to bevel out the rack to clear the offset one, and what is even stupider about this in the first place is, there is no reason whatsoever you should be having to punch rivets out of your tunnel that hold your coolers on for a f-ing gas rack .

They could build one of these with 6 tabs that were offset about 1/2" into the tunnel so all you had to do was drill 6 straight-shot holes in the tunnel, rivet it, and go. No worries about trying to not drill through your coolers, etc.

I'm sorry folks, but I refuse to pay for bull**** products like this. I spent the last 3 years glueing and bolting on whatever horse **** crap somone had to sell for an IQ sled had to sell, and I categorically refuse to do that on this sled.

I'm taking the BS cat rack bat and getting my money back. I REFUSE to put horse **** products on this sled like I did my 900 RMK.

So with that said:

Who makes a rack for this sled that is as I described above? Meaning, the tabs to mount it are offset inwards about 1/2" so you don't have to worry about drilling through your coolers?

AMP, got one here in Dutch John I can sell ya:beer;

I don't know how fancy you want to get but you should check out the gas can thingy from craiggerbuilt.com.

Molded plastic base mounts solidly to tunnel... Just pull lever to remove 2 gallon can.

Like $60-$65 bucks

Can you post pics again? What keeps the tank from sliding forward and back?
On the rev they mount up against the seat. The xp is a self supporting system

Thanks

I made this rack for m , the bottom holes mount in so you don't have to worry about drilling through your coolers. Holds a 2.5 gallon or you can fit a 5 gallon wedco can in it.

I've been using 08 apex racks on a couple of my sleds and i really like them. They offer a bunch of different mounting options and they are super easy to mount. I wish i had a picture of them but i don't. Just something for ya guys to look into.

another vote for the doo can on the 2010 seat. here's a pic of the wife's 09 with the 2010 seat and doo tank. no brackets required. i would put a tunnel top pad on to help with tank slipping and scratching the tunnel. i have an older model boss seat with the doo tank too.

when you buy the accy kit from doo, you get everything, can, straps, strap retainer mounts. they make multiple styles, the rev chassis is what we are using, i have saw the xp chassis kits and they raise the tank off the tunnel if you want or need that. ski

Mountain addiction is the best I have used. 2 1.3 gal cans or 1 3.3 gal. Plus when you don't have a can on it only sticks up about 3/8", so there isn't much to catch anything on.

can.t use mountain addiction on mine...it has the stock cat rack on the 07/m8 141...not enough tunnel...and to remove the stock rack i would have to remove cooler tube guards/rivets to get the rack mounting bolts out...etc..pita....but a 10 litre fits in that stock rack...would like a bit more though
