Gas can/racks

The one that fit on your buddies sled:D

Lots out there. Depends on how much you want to carry.
1.Cat
2.AMP
3.Mountain Addiction
4.Craigger Built
5.etc etc

I was wondering the same thing, I personally think the Mountain Addiction Track Rack is the best one out there right now. No straps, and people say there very durable (won't bounce loose). Thats what I'm going with!

I bought the bombardier jerry can set up from the ski doo rev chassis, fits perfect with the 2010 seat.

EXACTLY! best set up put there IMO. a little balck electrical tape (seriously one go around) around the quick release strap and you'll never lose it off the back. i have 130miles of HARD riding with this set up and its still there. AND you can put the cat rack on behind the doo tank....thats how much room you have. but y? i think you have holes drilled on the under side of your bumper. they are for bunjies! doo tank is lighter then the cat rack AND fuel, better base to sit on (not top heavy) sits lower on the tunnel so easier to swing leg over.

here's a pic:

TR,
I agree with you on the jerry can being the ****, but it looks to me like you just created a PITA getting into your seat? i was gonna get the new seat but just kept thinking about what a pain it would be to have to bend down to get into the seat all the time. Plus its 4-5lbs heavier than a Boss.

i can get in the seat compartment no prob. i left enough room so that i can get my spare belt and what not in there. and i still have enough room to put on a rack if i wanted. but i dont see the sense in that when there are holes drilled out on the underside of your bumper for bunjee's

and the cat seat IS heavier but i hated my Boss seat. it was the cat one and it nearly broke my back...literally. so effin stiff. it didnt have the storage and my jerry can cap came loose (before i had the doo tank) from kickin it while sidehillin. the fuel then spilled onto the tunnel...ate the velcro glued strips for the boss seat...seat fell off! so off it went on with the 2010 cat and i could NOT be happier.

THAT looks DEADLY!! nice white to match!

these are awesome as well, looked into them too. BUT (someone called me a liar on his before...i am not a liar)
i seen a guy (not hear say...with my own eyes) break the track on these. he rolled his sled outta of a stuck. let it roll 2 times over. i dont know if it hit a hard patch of ice or snow but when he rode over to us one can was missing. the track cracked and let the can out. AND its important to place them where you will not kick em. even rollin the sled out of a stuck can loosen the fuel caps. before the doo tank i carried jerry cans bunjee'd down. every once and a while i would graze the cap with my foot while sidehillin. they even had the locking type cap. eventually some spilled out and leaked down the tunnel and ate the glue that held the boss seat! next ride out...seat was falling off!

i picked this set up for my own personal experiences. it would be wicked if i could prevent one person from a PITA.
the only thing that you have to do with the doo tank is tape the latch system. and not a ton either. and it will never come loose.

here's a better pic. you can see a bit more room is there than in the first pic i posted. plus i put the sloped part towards the seat for better access as well. Doo runs the tank the opposite way on their xp's.
you are correct about bending over tho...lol

I just ordered this same set up. I got a complete Skidoo caddy kit for an XP brandnew from ADS on ebay for $85 bucks shipped. They still had 6 more sets to sell at that price. I still have my old doo fuel caddy from my Rev so now I will have two complete cans I can fill when heading to the mountains. Also.........I like the setup for the same reasons as Tundrat3........lower / wider tank for center of gravity........lower to keep from kicking the thing jumping from side to side..........and it's just one tank that holds 3 gallons......with one vent and one spout........instead of two tanks that hold 2.6 gallons combined with two caps......two vents......two spouts.

Just more stuff to worry about coming loose etc. The skidoo can has the cap that locks and the strap setup covers the cap so that you can't accidentally kick it with your foot. Anywho...........both the Mountain Addiction and Skidoo setup are great......it's just personal preference.

i have purchase probably 5 cans in the last 2 years. i find some that fit but they all leak. i just want one that fits that spot on my rack that doesn't leak. even if it only holds one gallon i would be happy.

Morning.....

If you are using the cat rack I am using a Blitz 5gallon that fits perfect in it!It has never leaked! It is quite a bit of fuel but my 1200 goes through it. Here is a link to it:

here it is on the sled:
