Gas can options

I guess I'm annoyed that the timbersled tunnel carrier was specifically made to fit the mountain addiction can and now it,s not included.

Are the mountain addiction cans still available. I couldn't find them. Rotopax doesn't fit inside the carrier and they are expensive with the mounts. I really don't want some ****ty looking gas can that doesn't fit strapped to my tunnel.

I'm pretty sure that I am mistaken and they are available from mountain addiction.

Still curious if there are any other good options.

Mountain Addiction cans are not rated for gas so TS quit supplying them. They have to be bought directly from Mountain Addiction as "storage containers"

Has anyone tried the acerbis number plate tank as an extra gas can option. Its 1.3 gallons, I think I'm going to give it a try on my AF project so i don't have to run a big tank for now. We'll see how it goes.

I have one, but missing some of the mounting pieces. In my experience using the thing on dirt, it really doesn't feel good. It is extra weight that has to move when you move the bars. Plus it is up really high. A desert tank would be a bit better. I have my tunnel rack set up so I can fit 1 3.3 can, and the 1.3 can if I wanted to, or a small pelican case or bag or whatever. But that is on a sx120. Running the really small stock tank, that is even smaller because I had to push it up where the petcock is and some of the fuel doesn't flow out at the end. I would like to get a new desert tank that fixes this, but sounds like a custom job.

I have the acerbis tank where the number plate goes. It connects the stock tank and siphons out of the acerbis tank first, so it gets lighter immediately as you ride. I haven't noticed a huge difference with it trail riding and think it works quite well.
