Just finishing up a 2876 Garrett install on my Twisted Dragon.

The 2876 is the same turbine side as the 2860 or the 2871, but has a 76mm compressor wheel with a .70 A/R compressor housing (larger diameter). The 2860 and 2871 use a .60 A/R compressor housing and a 60mm and 71mm compressor wheel respectively.

I am trying this turbo from a recommendation of a fellow Snowester. The larger compressor housing and wheel should give a little better off boost throttle response. We'll see.....

Going for a ride Friday and will report back.

Are you still going to run 100ll? Same boost? I'm interested to hear the comparison from your previous 2860r...

you will have slower rpm but faster boost. it will drive like a mac truck throught the trees and a rocket on the hard pack.

It's a has a little more lag from the initial stabbing of the throttle, but then hold on. I will play with fuel setting and clutching to see if I can help it.

Its looking like it will pull about 2-3g more weight in the primary using base ground heavy hitters.

I was still working on clutching right after install. The bottom end is just as good as before with a wicked top end. In the trees is just fine after clutching. Glad I did this turbo.
