This may be a bit off topic, but many people justify a new fridge purchase because the new one operates so much more efficiently, that in short order will pay for itself. (which is true)

But,
They decide they have this perfectly good old fridge, why throw it out?
So the put it in their garage & use it in there TOTALLY negating any savings, rather costing MORE in electricity.

BTW I got a minifridge in "Mantown"

We had a keg fridge in college painted like the general lee. Took us forever, but was pretty sweet.

The one I have in my garage now, has a little rust as was thinkin of repainting. Wasnt sure if I should do summn like that again, or was thinking of doing a John Deere or Polaris theme.... cant decide.

If you really go through the beer.. building a proper keg-a-rator is the way to go.. you can build from one from a minifridg to fit small 1/8 barrels.. or you can go full out for a 16 gal keg in a big fridg.... I have built a couple for my buddies out of minifridg's.. go to your local bar and ask them if they would mind ordering you some tap parts (much cheaper that way) and hook yourself up a nice co2 system.... umm thats some oiln :D

The only problem we had was that we would have to waste about a pitcher everytime we fired it up. We probally used once every two weeks....

The limitation of a keg-r-ator is that you have to slug to much of the same swill. The smart money finds an old coke or pop vending machine remodels and repaints to your theme and never allows the disgrace of soda to ever pass through the refrigerated glass doors ever again! Better yet is a glass cooler from a titz up grocery so you can actually get some volume.

i got an old pop vending machine holds 12 cases cans keeps the beer nice an cold keep some coke you no rum en coke and some 7 up to :beer; :beer; :beer;

I have a vintage Pepsi bottle machine that works fantastically. It will freeze your liquid refreshments if not careful. I don't have a picture of it but it is this model:

It was made to vend the smaller and narrower Pepsi bottles but I recently found out that the aluminum Bud bottles will slide right through.
