G8 Gauge issues?

Everyone having good luck with their gauge?
On day 3 mine went blank. There was a message, but it was so small I couldn't read it w/o my glasses.
Sucked because it was flat & overcast and the group was relying on me to know where we were. I had no way to control handlebar warmers, know fuel level or engine temp. Had to ride two days like that.
Planned on making a trip to dealer tomorrow and when removing sled from trailer today the gauge worked fine.
Other than that, I love this sled!
It is very reliant on scratchers on groomed trail. I think a (removable) snow flap would that help a ton!image000000.jpg

Have one that the temp is in Celsius. No idea on how to switch it. It is reliably hot. Does not like ice. Groomed trail is fine. They are ever bit as bad as the 22 matryx. I can keep mine borderline cool but my wife can't. Had my daughter follow me out and do what I did and she was fine. My wife shut hers down. That sucks in my book. They sit there hotter for a minute. I try not to do that.
They don't need a removable flap. They need decent scratchers. The 24 polaris proved that. My buddy was with us on his boost. He doesn't have to do anything on the ice. His ran 115 on that stretch. Cool on the cat was 131. His was 94.

This chassis is a lot more tricky to keep cool. Better scratchers are needed and if you are on marginal/tracked out/icy snow conditions, you better get those scratchers down. It's wild how fast these get hot.

At the 3 minute mark, Justin shows how to change the units. :)

Had a 5 mile stretch of pure ice. Sides were hard and plowed. Scratchers don't keep it cool. You have to get off the trail and dig something up and it doesn't last long on trail. My wife goes through the motions, sometimes, but doesn't spin the track enough. She must have read the stupid throttle blipping thread and scared to. She has trouble and I don't. I do have to work at it though.
