hey guys Im new to the site Ive been riding for a couple years now and trying to take my girlfriend up on a ride on her new sled and would appreciate some input as to where to go on tuesday...or if its even worth it. I have rode la sac and gallagher many times but have never rode gold creek or hyak. This will be my first ride of the year as my schedule has been too busy an tuesday looks to atleast be sunny. Just curious what you guys would recommend for snow depth and coverage? thanks I appreciate it

I had a buddy ride Gallgher today and he said it was the deepest day he has ever ridden. 3-4 feet of pow. If you are looking for that I'd head to Gally.
oh really? well thats exactly what Im looking for. Did he by chance say how the road was getting in there? Just hope conditions are still that good come tuesday.
I rode gold creek today and I'd say wait for it to be groomed. There was lots off fresh up top though.
Road is whoops all the way. Pretty bad. But worth it if you spend the day up there. Rode yesterday.

Don't take a new rider on a new sled to Gallagher.......It will be her last ride and your last sex.
I'm not a fan of Crystal Springs, but that's where I would take her.....I'm sure the groomer will be out in the next day or so and you will have many miles of freshly groomed trail right out of the parking lot all to yourself......Enjoy...

Haha I was thinking about crystal springs too but its just not as high in elevation so snow wouldn't be as good was my only concern. But it is her first time on her sled so maybe thats another thought too.
Yeah if its her first time on a sled, getting into Gallagher would be a nightmare
The GC side does not have much for groomed trails or road riding. Crystal springs can get around 5K in elevation if you look at a topo map. Probably not the time of year or enough snow to head to hurricane ridge from crystal springs but there are lots of trails and starter level hill climbs. If you like her and want a GF to sled with then start her off somewhere comfortable.
Awesome ill have to do that then, she is a keeper so maybe I should do crystal springs. Atleast it will be sunny and I won't be at work!
Look at the weather and grooming before you commit! As others said you want each experience to be fun for her at least until she's hooked!
This could be his way of getting out of taking her in the future. Now your thinking man.

what is the best way to go to get to Gallagher? have only been their 1 time before with friends.
By helicopter if you have one!!!! Heard rumors the road method sucks big snowballs right now.
