FYI: Rear bumper option for the Pro

Hey guys, I just got my Pro and was able to fit my CoBe rear bumper on it. It fits up great and just two additional holes need to be drilled plus removing the reflector. It works well with the stock ported snow flap and actually allows the flap to articulate more, therefore less drag. However, it is about 3/4 of a pound heavier than the Carbon bumper. The stock carbon bumper is cool so I am not bashing it, just offering another option.

Here are some pics plus a link to my post in swapmeet for purchasing info.

Thanks.

John

The Carbon Fiber bumper is slick! It sucks to grab a hold of when stuck. This one looks more functional.

I think it just listed anodized black or natural as the color options.

Correct. However, last season I did some Bright Dip Red ones but 98% of everyone wanted black. I can still do the red but it costs a little more. The red would look good on the Pro though.

I have yet to ride my Pro so I am leaving the carbon one on so I can experience this. I have read the reports and the slickness of the carbon does sound like an issue. As much as I like carbon it is not really the best material for a "bumper."

This looks way more functional than the stock unit.

Do you mind me asking what is the thickness of 6061 side plates? At least 1/4" I hope.

Actually they are 3/16" thick.

Due to the recent Pro RMK issues, I am currently sold out of them but should have some more in a week or so. Please pm to be added to the list.

Thanks.

Looks like the upper tube partially blocks the visibility of the tail light. Can you elaborate on this?

oh yeah...thanks forr reminding me...I have to smash my tail light off with a hammer this week.....save a few grams
