FXR clothing . good?

I have been wearing my fxr pants and jacket for 6 years now and they still work work well, pants aren't as water proof as they were new and but are still warm. I just order a new jacket, can't wait for it to get here and try it out.

My klims are slill in great shape but appear to be losing their waterproofness too. Ive done all the washes and resprays and nothing really werx. Might be a new fxr under my tree soon;)

I have been wearing it for about 8 years, great stuff, great price, and there warranty is first rate. I had a seam come loose on a year old jacket, I called them and they sent me the next years model free, no questions, asked, told me I could keep the old jacket as well, free.:D

FXR = never get wet+never get cold:D

the nay sayers will be along shortly to flame me! even though they have never tried FXR:face-icon-small-sho

How the heck did you get that kind of warranty??

I bought a jacket last winter and after 2 weeks the main zipper went gonzo. It still held, but zipped really tough and you could tell that the teeth weren't meshing togethor quite right. I called FXR and they told me I had two options. 1) Mail it back to them to have it fixed with like a 4-6 week turn around or 2) Take it to someone locally and have them fix it, then fax FXR the reciept and they would repay me.

I was hoping to get a replacement jacket, but I ended up going route number two....but when I got it back It had a big honkin metal zipper in it...not even close to the factory zipper. The sewer lady said she thought plastic zippers were junk. It wasn't a huge deal cuz it was clearly stronger and it would be concealed behind the rubber seal and storm flap. I faxed the bill back to FXR, but never saw my refund. I thought it was pretty crappy how they handled my issue.......but otherwise I have no complaints. Not sure if I'd buy from them again though.

BTW: Weren't you a dealer for FXR on the old forum??

I don't know why, maybe because I was real nice to them, I didn't try to jam it back down there throat, ( not that you did that ) :beer;all they wanted was a photo of the seam, 3 days later I had a new coat, I did have to pay shipping:)

Never a dealer, just a user:)

IMO FXR doesn't hold a candle to Klim. I bought all new FXR gear two years ago and the zipper on my coat came apart, the sleeve seam started coming apart, my bibs would get soaked and they felt like they weighed a 100lbs wet. I also didn't like the padding they put in the @ss and the knee padding was too bulky as well. I switched back to Klim the next season and will stay with them. I've had four different sets of Klim gear over the years, with 0 problems.;)

And here comes the negative side of the 4m:D

You want to see negative? Just wait until I send my grandpa over to beat your a**:face-icon-small-blu He'll tear s**t right up.

As for FXR vs. Klim.....Klim sure as hell better be better since it costs a good chunk more. My FXR jacket works well and keeps me dry and warm. I've heard good things about Klim's service. After my zipper issue, I'd probably be more likely to consider paying more Klim just for better customer service

be nice now:D:D:D:D:D

I live about 50 miles from Klim and I spend my money on FXR, might change my mind later, but who knows:eek:

Had their stuff for 7years now. tab for the zipper came off 3 years ago. Just ran a piece of parachute cord and wove a new tab out of it. Switched after bad experience with manufacturer clothing. Told them shove the cat cash after that and gimme $ off the sled.

Been using FXR for 6 years. Good stuff. Never been cold, did have some zipper problems and glove problems....the zipper on the coat i fixed myself. Got a new pair of gloves last year, used them 1 week and all the stiching came out. (don't use the glove to clean off running boards!!!) Got a new pair sent to me no questions asked. Just bought new jacket and pants this year

I had FXR for years and finally got into the Klim setup. FXR is very heavy and not as waterproof as the Klim gear. Klim is the best out there in My opinion.:)

I have been using my fxr coat for 4 years and its in as good of shape as the day I bought it.Not a huge klim fan think there to high priced.
