Fundraiser in Sparwood

Hi all, I am starting this thread to let everyone know that we are putting on a fundraiser for the spouses of the eight victims of the avalanche.
We are puting on the first annual Danny Bjarnason Sno-Pitch Classic, with this years proceeds going directly to the spouses of the victims, proceeds in future years will go to the Elk Valley Search and Rescue.

Saturday Feb. 7th, 10:00am at the lions park in Sparwood
8 players no restricion on guy/girl ratio
5 innings
eveyone hits
pitch to own team
$20.00 per person
entry deadline Feb 4th

We have had a ton of support from local and even not so local business, we have some great prizes up for raffle including a half day tour with prestige snowmobile tours, klim valdez parka, shovel and probe, SOS backpack, stihl weedeater, yamaha warm up jacket, ladies kawasaki riding jacket, RJays full face helmet, and lots of other geat stuff.

If you have a team of 8 that would be interested or can't find enough players but would like to play let us know and we will place you on a team.

Tomorrow is the big day, I would like to thank everyone who has supported our cause. Tournament runs from 9:00am-5:00pm, if anyone will be in the area stop on by the Lions Park in Sparwood and show your support for the cause and the families.

We are having a raffle with a ton of great snowmobiling related prizes as well as some great non-snowmobiling prizes, including an autographed Todd Bertuzi Calgary Flames jersey. I would like to thank all our sponsors, everything has been donated which means 100% of proceeds go directly to the spouses.
