Made up some homemade engine blankets for the sides, and skid plate.. But what to use to block snow from entering around the pipe / frame rails etc?
I could hack something together, but looking for both function, AND form lol.. rest of the bike looks good, don't want to hillbilly it up now!
TIA

I use black race car plastic and a few zip ties. Its shiny black and looks great. Easy to cut and install and its cheep. combined with an engine jacket and your set

Ended up trying some fireproof vinyl I had leftover from making the side blankets. see if this works out, be packing a fire extinguisher just in case, to protect the investment hahaha

My previous set up was an Obie/Carl’s skid plate and a Rev-it Engine blanket with a custom snow flap for the header pipe. Because I had a carbon header guard, the heat fabric could rest on it, without the blanket burning. I used this on really blower/cold days. It was attached with hardware to Nut-serts on the bottom of my radiator guards. Kept snow/wind off the header/front of motor. Now I’m running a Selkirk.

Bender, that Obie looks the business alright.. Is that a P3 header guard? If so, then I think I could easily get away with it, and this vinyl material...

The Obie skid worked great! It helped keep the feet on the pegs a bit. My header guard was from Pro Carbon. Not sure if it covers farther towards the head compared to a P3.
