ISLAND PARK — The Fugowee Snowmobile Club’s annual Fun Run is on Valentine’s Day this year —Saturday, February 14, club president, Randy Miller, has announced. It’s a fun event that keeps people moving throughout the entire caldera community on snowmobiles or in their wheeled vehicles, so grab your sweetheart and enjoy the day!
The event has two components: visiting as many as 26 locations in Island Park to get your Fun Run card checked; and playing Bingo for awesome prizes.
First, starting at 10 a. m. Saturday, snowmobile or drive to one of the sign-up locations to pick up your card: Island Park Lodge, Pond's Lodge, or Shotgun Bar and Grill.
Then, snowmobile or drive to as many of the participating check-off locations you can visit and still be able to reach Pond’s Lodge by 4 o’clock to play Bingo.
Check-off locations (alpha order) are Angler’s Lodge, Boondocks, Elk Creek Station, Henry’s Fork Landing, High Mountain Adventures, Hungry Bear Market, Island Park Adventures, Island Park Builders, Island Park Lodge, Island Park Village Resort, Lakeside Lodge, Last Chance General Sore, Lodgepole Grill at Phillips Lodge, Mack’s Inn Resort, Meadow Creek Lodge, Mountain Mayhem, Outback Realty, Pond's Lodge, River Runs By It Lodge, Robin's Roost, Sawtelle Mountain Resort, Shotgun Bar and Grill, StageStop, Subway, Trouthunter, and the Fugowee Warming Hut on the Black Canyon Loop.
All locations are reachable by wheeled vehicles except A River Runs By It Lodge, Meadow Creek Lodge, and the warming hut. People who visit the warming hut, and those who visit the most locations, are eligible to win cash prizes. In addition to Bingo prizes, a raffle will be held at Pond’s for a chance to win other neat stuff.
The Fun Run will donate its profits to Fremont County Search and Rescue this year.
