Has anyone devised a better way of hooking up the fuel tank to the pump? The grommet on mine has gotten hard and is leaking. Seems like a pretty shotty design IMO. It would be nice to bolt together a nipple where it enters the tank.

Find someone here who replaced their original 503F 4.7/gal tank, it will have a spare grommet.
Keep your machine out of the sun, under cover of some sort or you will find many more items drying out.
I am sure the part is a standard industrial item, just have never needed one for our machines.

Fuel Tank Fitting
I haven't measured so I don't know for sure, but if you go to your local ski-doo dealer and get the grommet and sleeve/fitting that goes in it from an '85-'93 formula mx - it should work.

I just threaded my gas tank with a pipe tap and put in a brass fitting. Been in for a whole season with no issues.
