Fuel regulator

Anyone running fuel pressure regulators on their piped sleds when they already have a fuel box of some sort. If so did it help out any?

I run an attitude industries box with a regulator to run Jaws Twinns on My 09 M1000, On my 07 M1000 with the same Box settings and Pipes, I did not need the regulator. I needed it to clean up the Midrange, on my 09 with the midrange setting on the box all the way backed out, it was still really boggy and would not run right, dropped about 3 Psi and it went away.

i have the bikeman pressure reg set-up with my purelogic box...i am super lean around 5800 to 6500 rpm...if i richen the box for this area im richer in the rpm below and above(YELLOW)..so im thinking of reprogramming the box to not start working till 4900 rpm and above as it seems i do not need fuel below...i tried playing with the pressure a bit..but if i raise it to add fuel in this spot then again it affects the whole yellow range..but i could still try abit more but my guage is busted and reading full tilt all the time so i need to order new guage...but i think the real SOLUTION is to have the reprogramming done so my box doesn;t come on stream till 5000 rpm and the lean area i have i can adjust in the green range of my box instead of the yellow..and the green would not affect as much as the yellow but would touch up my problem spot..or a boondocker box..but if i was rich in this area the pressure reg would be the answer and i would just reduce pressure and add fuel....but its just where this spot is...its not a whole range..its in a range..(yellow)..and i think that either reprogram or learn to use a boondocker is the only answer

I run a 09 m1000 162 slp full exhaust, bdx intake, oil delete and bd box. I am some what close to the recommended slp #'s but i'm running 51psi. stock the sled ran 1260 temps in the mid range (6100rpm) and it still likes to get hot in that range, but since I modded the motor and no warranty I just burp the throttle to keep temps down. Stock on the top end it ran 1161 temps wot as long as you want, and with the added fuel pressure I can get it to do the same with mods. I almost always have to do a little adjusting to get it spot on if I'm making more than a 12 sec pull due to elevation and temp. The biggest reason for adjusting is when you climb in elevation it changes your rpm just enough at times it can start pulling fuel from different rpm ranges causing the need for adjustment.
