fuel range???

just wondering if anyone has heard what kinda fuel range that we can expect out of the new rmks?

It really depends on how you are riding. You can expect from around 7mpg when doing lots of climbing and deep pow to 15mpg when cruising on the trails. It also depends if your talking about a 600, 700, or 800 there is a big difference between the fuel sipping 600 to a thirsty 800. Every trip has different conditions and fuel range.

When cruising on the trail I was averaging 14-15mpg at 8000-9500 feet. Running it fast down the trail I averaged about 9-10mpg at 8000-9500 feet. Off trail I wouldn't expect more than 8-9mpg at the very best, 6-7 is what you'll find if you actually ride hard.

Edit: This was on an 800 rmk 155, Not the pro-rmk

-POLARIS PRESS RELEASE- If you have gas in your 2011 Pro-Ride RMK when you return to the trailer for the evening, you didn't ride hard enough!

:face-icon-small-sho Ohh that sound's serious! :face-icon-small-win

Conditions will very overall mpg. Depending on weight, terrain, snow conditions, how much time the throttle is stuck to the handle bar, etc.... Not sure about newer sleds but I seem to get about 60 miles on a full tank on a 800 edge chassis I'll have the Pro this year so I'll be able to compare it with the edge.

The Pro demo sled we had appeared to get about 10%-15% better economy then my 09 800 twin piper on one approx 85 mile ride (18 miles trail the rest mostly free ride playing in 1 to 2 feet fresh on solid base). The 09 came back with 93 on the od and had just under a gallon left in it. Sputtered going into the trailer! Maybe the pro wasn't ridden quite as hard as the iq raw that day for the entire time. It was being passed around to people. That was a fairly typical day for us.

We also did a mostly trail ride comparison on another day and they were almost identical. (50 plus solid trail about 10 miles spring goooey yuck) Super tough to conclude anything on these two samples other then very similar to the efi 800. You can easily go 100 miles plus of good open trail.
