fuel pump omhs

thinking maybe my fuel pump is drawing my electrical system down. I have a 2008 pump and did an ohm test on the 2 leads got .5 ohms. on the 200 scale of meter at half tank. i only have 2012 specs that shows 55 ohms at 1/2 tank. I must not be doing it right. Why does the tank level make a difference when you are just ohming out the pump/motor. thanks for any feedback.

kinda figured out the big ohm difference didn't realize that the 2012 pro had both mechanical fuel gauge and also digital. So ohm numbers in schematic must be for the sensor for the digital fuel level.
