Fuel/Oil mix at 57:1 normal?

I have a new 2015 Pro. Only used 25 ounces of oil with the first tank of gas, 11.2 gallons. That's 57:1 and seems too lean to me. New to Pros and don't know what is normal?

That is not uncommon, and actually rich compared to what some guys find.

Keep an eye on it like you are, and make an adjustment if necessary.

Some/many have been very lean, and some have not even been adjusted correctly from the factory (indicator marks on the pump)

Do some searching/reading over this Pro section, you'll see theirs TONS of info on oil consumption and or adjustments.

Personally, I have mine set to 32:1. Consumption rates go up or down depending on throttle position (which turns up oil pump) and riding style. Mine are set up to deliver around 32:1 on an average day-- if it's deep and we are to the bar everywhere, my consumption goes up even more. Don't have a plug fouling problem, and my exhaust valves are easy to clean. I'm a Mystik dealer so the oil costs don't bother me.

Just adding oil to the gas doesn't lube below the pistons so you're still playing roulette with your crank.

Someone mentioned adding oil to fuel.
I have adjusted mine to right around 35/40:1, and I also still add 1oz/gal as many do/recommend.

I like to have a little oil being injected in with the fuel, may not be enough to help but surely does not hurt.

I found the little 6.75oz Sunny D orange juice bottles, clean em out real well and carry two almost full of oil in my tunnel bag. Always seems I'm putting in between 4-6 gal of fuel at random fuel stops (if you are able to stop for fuel). Dump one in on a fuel up and good to go!

I went to turn up oiler and found large air bubble at top of oil line where it's clamped to tank fitting. Photo attached (I think). Is this normal?

Replace clamp! Air bubbles are coming in between line and brass fitting. Spring clamp is not tight enough. Even after venting, cap replacement, bleeding oil pump, etc...it will return..air takes the path of least resistance. Air leaks are not what you want!! had same issue..all good now...
