Fuel line

Anyone experience the fuel line being dug into from the steering bracing. Directly under where the pull chord handle is?
I’m noticing a small groove being dug into it.
Wondering if I should file away at the bracing or put something on solid between the 2.

I took a file to the spar. There’s better clearance now. Looks like the line has a slight rub out of it, not a slice like I was thinking. I still might want to put some sort of silicone over the top of the line. There’s only a few rides on this so I’m glad I caught it putting a tether on.

Anybody got a picture of the spot? On my 19 when I had the hood off I could not find or see any spot the line was rubbing though it disappears out of sight not long after leaving the top of the tank.

It’s literally right under where your pull chord handle is. Easier to see with the hood off. Found this pic on the web.

Used a 2 inch long piece of fuel line & cut it length ways down one-side. slip it over the bottom of the steering post/spar bracket where it rubs. mine has stayed in place for several years.Inkedcrop20200106_222221_LI.jpg

Thats interesting. Mine cuts left and down where yours is bending right.
I did a similar thing. I did file the spar a little to make some space. Then put a 2” piece of poly pipe over it

Mine is a 13 with 19 plastics. fuel line runs over the top of the pipe & forward down the spar. Maybe routing is different on the newer models but the rub appears to be in the same spot.
