Fuel line cracks

I have a bunch of cracks in my return fuel line. Does it hold any pressure on the turbo setup. I know it runs to the boost controlled regulator. I know I should change it but I wonder why its so bad? In the second pic it's the one on the left.

How does it help raise the fuel pressure? Must have pressure on the side too?

not sure on the twisted set up but why risk it ,it's not that much hose use hi pressure fuel injection hose, i get mine at napa . the stock hose is hi press hose.

No pressure on the return line. It just flows the fuel back to the tank that the FPR bleeds off to maintain the set pressure.
