fuel leaking

what dose it mean when fuel is leaking when the sled is sitting in the garage ?? Is the needle worn out ?? doesn't the fuel pump have a stop valve of some sort ??

also I'm looking for some good used carbs. the ones i have are pretty worn out some bored out ones would be nice

I've seen plenty of times where a fuel line has just worn a hole from rubbing on something. Also have seen where a fuel line gets loose where it fits onto a fitting and leaks. The newer fuel pumps rarely leak fuel into the carbs.

the fuel lines are new and fit tight and with a clamp i know thats not it it leaks fuel in the motor then its hard to start and the exhaust spits it out makes a mess on the garage floor i replaced the fuel pump last year but its still leaking fuel . I'm thinking it must be the floats and needle what do you guys think ??

Your float needles are shot. Very easy and cheap to fix.

Yep, needle seats. Repleace the seats and needles at the same time...Dennis Kirk probably has the parts or your dealer.

HA ha found it it wasn't the needles or the seats but the O ring that holds the needle seats and the floats in the cards it was all brittle and cracking !! but all fixed now !!
