So, here's one for ya.... I have a 98 rmk 700, modded out chassis with pretty much a stock engine, except for slp twins and pod filters. I havn't been able to figure this out though. I am wondering if anyone has had this problem....

cruising down the trail, sled rips and runs great, then all of a sudden it starts popping and backfiring and bogging out. I stop and let it idle for a minute and away we go like a bat out of hell, for about a quarter mile, then the same thing. The only thing that helps this situation is time at idle and staying in the primary circuit. I am thinking it may be the float bowls being sucked dry or the fuel pump is crap?! Just curious if anyone can tell me whats up? im at a loss! Initally I thought it was a heat issue but i have made sure it is not that.
Thanks

I had the same problem on my 98....it was my tss ..disconnected the plug and no more prob....Hey Nighthawk did you pull your fueline out of your tank??...I have had that prob as well..runs real good on a full tank but when the level drops it would start starving for fuel, because the fueline was not attatched from inside the tank and or the wieghted filter is missing causing the line to float:face-icon-small-ton

have you tried flippin the choke on halfway to see if you are going lean on fuel.when it acts up...cause i have had a bad stator cause those conditions as well....tss is the throttle safety switch in the go faster lever...it can start shorting and causing bacfire problems as well
