Fuel help

Ok. Completely rebuilt the turbo. 09 boondocker kit. Putting skid plate back on last night, rolled sled up on right ski and fuel starts POORING out of the charge tupe side of turbo. I know there is a pressure line from the turbo to the gas tank. And it only did it when it was ALL the way over, but seems like unless there is pressure from turbo it would always run out of there aka during an unstuck roll over. Didn't so it last year. What am I missing???

Sleds starts, runs, etc. good fuel pressure.

I would check to see that you boost reference line is hooked up to your "fuel pressure regulator" on your fuel pump inside your tank.

If that line is hooked up, fuel should not be able to get into that line, but if it were unhooked, fuel would def go in it, and worse yet, your fuel pressure will not rise with boost.

BD makes a lot of good stuff, but their little plumbing fixture fuel pressure reg certainly let me down.

I know I know I know. Stupid me. Just have to ride it like an xp. Straight up hill or nothing at all.

Who says you can't sidehill an XP? Does it take a little more effort, yes. I think people are getting lazy with their layover sleds, yet can't hold a straight line going through the bumps uphill!

Found it!

Just a little humor my friend... take her' easy... I've ridden the XP.. can make it sidehill just fine... kept right up with the m8's in the group for the ride.

Found the house detached in the bottom of the tank after work tonight, I'm thinking cut off a bit of the hose, reattach with new zip tie (that's how vohk did it the first time) is that the best option then? Thanks again snowest!

So... two fuel pick-ups in the bottom of the tank. I'm assuming the hose from the turbo connects to the second one... the real question is, which part of the tee does it go on? the top or the opposite side from the hose that is already connected? Thanks for the help guys. I'm not sure zip-ties are the best answer, everything else is pipe clamped together in there...

I think you may be getting confused. The boost reference line should be really small, and go into the back of your fuel pressure regulator, which is attached to your fuel pump assembly.

The fuel pickup tubes look like they have tees on them, but I have checked, and they are actually "L's". Nothing is supposed to hook up to the fuel pickup fittings that are not already hooked up with band clamps, which usually includes your fuel pump, but sometimes the turbo installer will remove the band clamp where the fuel pump goes into the pickup plumbing.

Fixed it. Came off back of inlet into the tank. Got the wife's skinny arms down in the tank to reattach it. Good to go! Thanks guys!!

Same way vohk did. Spoke with junior at bd about it as well. said a zip tie was the way too go. Just put another on it. Just something to keep rechecking.
