Fuel Guage says empty when full, shuts down at idle?

Hey

My fuel guage has been weird for quite some time now, but this is the first time is said it was emoty, when im just idling it will just shut down, like someone hit the kill switch, it runs all day if i keep on the throttle. Does the shut down have something to do with the fuel guage saying empty. Maybe my stator?

Check gauge float. Sometimes they gaslogged and sink. Dont know about the idle problem.

The idle problem could be a few things.. the most common 2 problems I have seen, have been the TPS needs to be reset and/or the little switch in your throttle box is screwed up.. Hard to explain, but its just a pin that sticks through the hole for the flipper pin.. Seen it more common on different pins used for lefty throttles. Hope that made sense..

You are right, there are 2 switches, but the one I have seen give the most grief is the one I was talking about.. not the other one, but I guess it could be either of them..
