Fuel guage missing

I looked down at my fuel guage and there was nothing there.
The bottom right of the dash is blank. no "F" or "E" or bars.
Everything else on the dash is working.
Anybody ever had this happen.

It's probably the float. Mine has done this a few times. Two little metal tangs end up not making contact and the gauge goes blank. I did a write up on it a while back with part numbers and pictures here:
