Fuel gauge on instrument cluster???

Owner's manual clearly states that there is a fuel gauge on the instrument cluster....

Neither of our two Pro-RMK's are showing fuel level on the gauge cluster.

Anybody else have this problem? Or was this a "specifications subject to change" and I didn't get the memo?

And, yes, for all you smart as_es out there, the gas cap gauge does work...

This option was on the Switchbacks....

It maybe a type O on polaris part...

Not on the new Pro ride!!

Yes the fuel level is on the gas cap!!

Been wondering why Polaris does not have a: Fuel Remaining, AVG.MPG Etc. on a digital out included in their MFD, like most new vehicles include.

It has to a simple matter of counting the metered pulses the injectors make over any RPM range, so as to remove the variable of rider, condition's, temperature, snow load etc., to determine fuel use/used.

A little math using known fuel on board and bam, no more guessing how much gas you need to make it to the truck, lodge, etc.

Why not, for 10k+ a sled, that has a computer, and the option for a digital fuel level gauge.

the gauge is actually in the display, its on the very right of the screen it just does not display. so if you got a sending unit and got it set up it might work, may have a problem with the ecu being programmed to show the display. was thinking maybe the rush has the fuel gauge.

Isn't this the same gauge pod that is used on the ATV's? That would explain the fuel gauge being there but not working.

The RUSH does have a fuel gauge... completley different fuel tank and pump though.

The PRO-Chassis Assault-RMK/Assault-SB/RMk's share the same pump without a float system.

Keeps it simple...The Kelch fuel float style units are pretty accurate... more so IMO than the gauge style.

I have installed fuel gauges in a couple of my older Polaris sleds. They worked great and are still working. Only thing I did not like about it was the sled had to be running to check the fuel level. That is not a big thing. But the only time I would check my fuel is after we stopped. Then I would have to start the sled up to check the level. I would not do it over again. So my Dragon and Pro RMK gauges will stay the way they came. But that is about all that will stay the same....
