I am posting this for a friend who wants to put a slp pipe on his 09 m8. is he going to need a boondocker control or some sort of programer? the sled is all stock right now. thanks

No fuel controller is needed if you don't port. I have the SLP pipe with air box and y-pipe and no controller. It really woke up my 2009 HCR. He'll love it.

id be carful, ull hear lots of stuff some guys say no some guys say yes on the controler, i have to run one on my sled and one of my buddys dosn't.(weird i KNOW) make sure fuel press. is up there, and test run and check ur plugs slp says you need one under 3000 feet.

I've got a full SLP on my 08 M8, I feel mine is running rich. EGT'S read around 800-900 degrees, very low. I have a BD box.(not hooked up right now) anyone know how much fuel I should take away? Sorry to steal the thread.

SLP says it's fine. Some say it's not. I remember reading on here about one motor issue without a box but that guy also had an aftermarket intake which SLP advises against without a box. Mine seems to be doing fine in the UP of Michigan.

As someone said already, You must verify fuel pressure. I ran my twin pipe M1000 all day one day with no fuel controller but my fuel pressure was 50 psi. I wouldnt dare do that now that I have it dialed down to 44 psi. There is a variance from sled to sled, they are not all the same
