At Last....Found A Fuel Caddy Spout

Need Help. My BRP fuel caddy spout broke. Local dealer does not have a part number. BRP was no help, could not reach a real person... Anyone have a part number or found a replacement local. The BRP spout does not match U.S. measurements, etc. Don't want to buy a tank to get a spout....

Thank.

Go to Ace Hardware or your local saw and mower shop, they'll get you fixed up with a replacement spout from Wedco for 5 bucks.

Bikerjustin,

Good information. I will assume you are speaking from experience....

If it works I'll buy you the adult beverage of your choice.

Thanks.

Wedco makes the cans for doo. It works, you can buy the replacement spouts at ACE, perfect match. The first 04 cans had a stupid oneway spout that only sealed on one side, leaked when filling. The replacement spouts have the double sided ring. Done deal.

Thanks a bunch, guess I owe another adult beverage. Well worth it though.

After several days of trying to find a spout at those locations recommended above, no luck... Seems because of good ol'e California making new "gas can" laws, the industry made a move to make all gas cans the same. Anyway, I have written the company to see what I can do to get the flexible spout. Will let you know what happens.

Thanks for the heads up... Sorry to say but nothing from the manufacturer yet. Two emails/enquiries, no reply. Hope it is not a sign of things to come.

What is the search you are using for hits on EBay?

Thanks again.

Thank you again to all. My local farm store said they ordered 90 spouts or so, last the distributor had. If they come in, and they are the right ones, I'll get word out quick.

It's been a week or two, so a quick update. The replacement spouts still have not come in at the retail store I am banking on. Still cannot validate if they will be the right ones but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Good News,

Although I was unable to find anyone in my extended local area who could replace my current spout, even my local dealer, I did find several sources. Problem is because of good ole California stupidity, the industry had to meet new standards of stupidity for gas cans. The final result of new idiotic rules and regulations for gas cans forced the industry to eliminate the spout. Hence the problem in finding replacements; they are not being made anymore. Once the remaining stock is gone, that is it. The manufacturer did say a more politically correct spout is coming out, but, I am sure it will cost us all more.

Anyway, here is the contact information for the two Canadian folks who helped me out. Not sure what they have left in stock but...
