I just puchased my first turbo. Its a 07 700 dragon with a Boondocker race gas turbo with intercooler. I have been doing a lot of reading on SW about AV gas and was wondering if anyone has a similar set up and how much boost you are running. The actuator goes from 8-14 lbs, could i go up to 10lbs without issues. Also what will the sled do if it detonates? I dont think there is a sensor for that? I know it has a sensor that goes off at 1250+/- degrees. I ride in Cascade and Mccall between 6 and 8500 feet. Any thoughts or help is appreciated. Just trying to avoid buying the race gas, but dont want a meltdown on a new sled. Thanks

The engine has a knock sensor on the head between the cylinders on the back of the engine, right by the temp sensor. As far as boost on av gas my buddy rides a 2010 M8 with a boondockers mini race kit and he was running 13lbs last year at about 7000 ft. On a long pull he was getting his koso egt to 1250 and the machinge ran awsome. I have a 2007 D7 I just turboed and I have read lots on the topic and they are suposed to be a tough engine, and respond well to boost.
Thanks for the response. I'm trying to decide if I make it a pump gas turbo by changing the actuator to between 4 and 8 lbs or to I try it at between 10-14 with race gas. Is the extra power worth the money?
yes... unless you have never rode it then you wont know waht your missing
I would run at least a 50/50 mix and keep it around 8 pounds at that elevation. The detnation sensor won't save your engine talking from experence I'm running the same sled and already been through one motor.
I think it is a 2009 setup although it is anything but mini the radiator thing is probably 12x8inches. It is the large race setup. I dont know if it has a fan? Where would i find that?
