FS 7030 road off of FS 70 ?

Anyone ride this area? State parks shows grooming, but has anyone seen it lately? Where could you park? I rode my motorcycle up there Saturday and was curious.

It would be an option to access the area, but the ridge would be tough to keep open. There were some potential clear cuts for climbing and riding.

There has been no gromming up there as long as I have ridden up at greenwater. There is a way to get there from greenwater sno park but is a secret.

chickennugget and i have been up there alot this summer and fall checking it out probly 15 trips in the rubicon, ive noticed a truck or two parked there almost all last season at the junction of 70 & 7030.
looks like some great ridding you can get there a few ways.i might be a great way to avoid the 3-5 miles of whoops you normally get at greenwater outta the snopark!

No grooming up there. Rode up last year to tune on that road, not that great for off trail, had to turn back about halfway because of severe drifting. It is groomed from the other side, but there's better riding up there for sure.

They used to groom that road a LONG time ago.

They groomed the ridge top all the way to the 1913 road. Made for a great loop trip via 19 road with a few play areas along the way.

they groom every year last year they had to much snow had to get the dozer in there just to clear the road off from 410.

for riding it is a good place not as good as others but if you live in tacoma it is the closes place to ride 45 min.

2 spots to park big gravel pit after the first hill.
other main spot at the bathrooms a was up there

the snow jammers snow club maintains the park contact dan rush at palsons

I expected that it was no longer groomed. Probably not enough money in the kitty. It would be great to relieve some of the traffic on fs70 itslef.

I expect I will do a early season road ride and just explore. It will drift in bad on the ridge adn be unrideable once the snow gets deep.

Maybe you could hook into the 7065 spur or drop in near the burn area on the back side. We will see.

I used to ride up there a lot.
Greens pass was an awesome place to play. It may have grown up a bunch now but you just have to get through all the drifted area to get to the good stuff.
I have a ton of good memories of that place.
No crowds at all and no whoops.

Met you last year

Snowlover met you last year at baker, i think on june first. I think we both went to meet people, ended up by ourselves, very wet, helped you turn your trailer around, i had the white 1 ton chevy.

Your right. It was wet. Once I drove that far, I just had to go for a little ride. Getting anxious again, but reality says wait till about Christmas. A road ride in the fs7030 area would work if you can stay on the road.

Fs 7030

I could probably get talked into some type of exploration of this area. Ya know, find those secret spots… ;)
