I have a Pewter (Light silver) 2004 Triton Low Boy for sale in the Denver Colorado area for $11,500. It’s 24’ Long, 8’6” wide and is 6’6 tall inside. Factory Web site is http://www.tritontrailers.com/products/Model.aspx?CatID=27&SubCatID=38&ModelID=372&info=features
Trailer is insulated with a heater, 120v lights and outlets, spare tire (floor garage style), and an overhead cabinet in the front. It has a front ramp on the passenger side. It has a man door with step on the passenger side. It has two Salem vents on opposing sides and has a wall carrier for sled tie downs. It also has Polaris graphics but I’m sure they can be removed if you prefer. I also had the primary brakes replaced and added a 2nd axle brake system two years ago.
This is the easiest towing trailer of its type. It’s like comparing an empty trailer to this trailer with 4 sleds and everyone's cargo on board. It’s hard to describe but there simply is not much difference in the speed that I can pull this compared to an open trailer.
I priced a replacement trailer at the sno-show and it was over 22k with show incentives.
The above is the good part. Now the bad part.
#1. Trailer has slight hail damage on the Driver Side. I did receive a settlement from my insurance but declared to buy it back as it is nowhere near salvage. Most people that see it don’t notice it until you point it out.
#2. The interior was not insulated, wired or finished by the factory. I bought this from a gentleman back east that insulated, wired it, and lined it with 1/8" plywood himself. There is nothing wrong with it in fact he used a high quality vapor proof florescent light fixtures and provided 110v outlets everywhere but it is not quite as polished of a look as the factory Luan material. The Cabinet in the front is also not from Triton. Most likely it’s from Home Depot and the quality is not the best but it does work.
#3. There is a slight amount of body damage on the driver side towards the back that has had body repair work and repainting done to it. It was there when I purchased this trailer and is a cosmetic blemish that I have always thought to put a portal window or another Access Door in its place to make it go away but I did not. For reference it came from an incident while driving where a mirror from another truck hit it.
If these three items were not present, the trailers value would be around 15k. I have 3 enclosed trailers and one of them must go but I have been really reluctant because these are so hard to find and new they are just too pricey.
To those interested, please E-mail me and I will send pictures. indymurphy@live.com
Please don’t bother with lowball offers as I will offer first to my bud's because at least I can hook up with them occasionally and ride along in my old trailer now and then
