Frozen Throttle

As i was going to high mark by buddy today all the sudden my trottle got super stiff causing me to get stuck. After digging my self out i touch the trottle was unable to open it up. I check on the injection system and was able to move the throttle body. I have a added throttle ext from power madd so I took it apart there. The cable that ran to the other box under hood would barely move. I got my sled fire back up and held the cable next to the exhaust and thawed it out unit it would move back and fourth but after hooking every thing back up it was stuck idling at 4000 ( it would trottle up but not idle back down) I then thought something was in the fuel system froze (maybe 26 degress out today) so I rode it around for a while. It did get better later and idle down to about 2200 rpm but very weird. Also I had a really hard time starting it and kept fouling plug i finaly deconnected the kill button and it would run. Later i reconnected it and had no issues. I have never had any issues with anything every happening like this. Not sure how to prevent this or if this has ever happened to any one else. What is my 2005 king cat 900 efi suppost to idle at?
Any help would be great. Thanks Wes

I've dealt with both... and they BOTH suck.

Either way, the more crap (like a lefty, or an extension) you add into that system, the more likely you are to see problems.

I put grease at the end of my throttle cable now, to keep snow out when I roll a sled or whatever. Even with a little snow in there, it'll still slide if greased.

26 degrees is not that cold. Should not have froze up. I had a powermadd left hand and was not that impressed with it. I had a lazy recoil and had to adj the oil and throttle because the it pulled about 1/8 inch on cable installing the junction box.

I took the cable a part at the junction box that goes to the oiler and the throttle and let it air dry for a couple of days and when I blew air into it a bunch of water came out. So i bought some cable spray that is good for -20 degrees so I hope that helps.
