I have a 96 xcr x-10 front end with 14.25 c to c. i would like to up the front end with some fox floats. i know i need to lengthen the radius rods and steerin rods do i need to change the trailing arms also? Would getting a front suspension components from a later sled work, like off a newer edge sled? any help would be awesome.

its been a while since i updated my xcr's front suspension so bear with me! i had the standard 8'' front end and upgraded to true xc-10 fox front shocks (with the threaded shock bodies) i believe they are like 15" eye to eye, any how those are the longest shocks that you can run with stock trailing arms and radius rods! wich shocks do you have now ? and how long of shocks do you wanna use? there was a company that made longer trailing arms for the wedge chassis, but i cant think of the company right now.

current shocks

Right now i have an xtra-10 front end with the original fox shocks with springs.
i guess i was looking to upgrade and get a little lift out of the front end and put some fox floats on the front. right now i have 14.25 c to c. i know i can buy brand new ones without any mods. i was hoping to find some used ones but i dont think that is gonna happen. Maybe i'm asking too much out of this sled. was hopin to buy a front end off a newer used sled, such has a edge rmk or something. because there are alot of guys selling floats on here.

personally i think putting fox floats on a wedge chassis would be a waste of $, but to each his own! wich fox shocks do you have now? white shock w/ purple spring ? or threaded white body with red springs?

ok well you dont have an xtra10 fron suspension then! you have standard 8"front end and an xtr10 rear suspension!so you still have a cheap and very beneficial upgrade available to you! look for a set of front shocks from a 99-01 xc700 or comparable model within those years, you'll want the fox shocks with red springs and threaded shock bodies, they are about 1.5" longer than the ones you have currently! also a set of NON CRC spindles from the same sled are a nice upgrade! oh and you wont have to change any radius or steering arms, just gunna have to adjust the steering arms using the tie rod ends!
