Front Spring Preload 09XP

I have a quick question. I have an 09 XP 154 and the steering is way to hard. The front shocks are on number 2 Do I go up or down to take the front pressure off. Also which way do I go with the center shock. Do I screw the adjustment down or up?
Thanks for any help.

Screw the center shock in the manner so that it is compressing the spring more and maybe lengthen your limiter strap too. I dont think I would mess with the ski spring adjustment much. If it is set on number 2 then it is already very soft.

You should also check to see if for 09 BRP changed the limiter strap dimensions. To gain as much lift on the ski's as you want, you need to make sure the limiter strap is loose enough. For the 08 if you move the starp to the next hole, the shock will extend fully BEFORE the strap tightens. This makes the strap do nothing. You will need to drill a new hole between the stock setting and the loosest setting to make it work.

Also I made the mistake of putting the outside runner on my sled when I got it. This made the sled too hard to steer. Now I have Simmons ski's but I was still unhappy with how hard it was to steer. I made some aluminum pieces to bolt to the spindle to reduce the steering effort by 20%. The pic is my first design and I broke one on a rock but I have a beefer version which I use now but don't have a picture right now, you will get the idea from the pic.
